It’s winter now and we’ve had more frosts this year than I can ever remember before. There were heaps of chillies still left on the plants and I didn’t want to waste them, but the frost was making them go mushy. So I picked them all, deseeded them and whizzed them up in the blender. Then I squashed the blended chillies into ice cube trays and froze them. One cube of chilli in a meal gives it a bit of bite.
In other news, the mandarin tree has given us a handful of fruit, the cabbage and brocolli is producing and the celery is growing.
